Blake Mills has one of the most diverse careers in music today. As a collaborator withFiona Apple, Mills served as both opening act and guitarist throughout The Idler Wheel...tour. He released his first solo album, the self-produced Break Mirrors, to much acclaim, following his tenure with his first group, the esteemed Simon Dawes (now well known simply as Dawes). Recognized as one of the industry's most creative and in demand musicians, Mills has worked with a wide array of artists, from Julian Casablancas, Lucinda Williams, and Jackson Browne to Band of Horses and Cass McCombs; as a producer he's helmed sessions for Conor Oberst, Billy Gibbons, Sara Watkins, Sky Ferreira andJesca Hoop. Currently, Mills is readying his second record, a still untitled full-length album set for release in early 2014 on Verve Records/Record Collection.
