Pioneers of the TasteMaker tradition, Ruth's Chris Steak House is serving an exceptional, five-course dining experience featuring the wines of Chateau Montelena. Hosted exclusively at Ruth's Chris Steak House locations across the nation on June 15, the dinner will be the fourth in a series of acclaimed TasteMaker Dinners.

Guests will be served an array of wines, from the historic winery that changed the way the world viewed California & American wines. Each glass will be perfectly paired alongside a menu, crafted specifically for the one-night only, dining experience. Pairings include Sesame Grilled Chicken & Udon Noodle Salad, Pan Seared Sea Scallop, Portuguese White Bean & Chorizo Stew, Petite Filet Mignon with Cipollini Ragout and Chocolate Dacquoise Torte.

"Our TasteMaker Dinners bring guests from around the nation together to experience the finer tastes in life," said Abdiel Aleman, Vice President of Culinary Development for Ruth's Chris Steak House. "Combining Ruth's humble beginnings with the underdog story of Chateau Montelena allows us to create an evening that's as rich in history as it is in taste."

Prior to 1976, it was widely-believed that French wines were the best in the world. Therefore, when two, lesser-known Napa Valley wineries took home top prize for best white and red wines at a blind tasting event in Paris, it shocked and forever transformed the industry. One of those wines was Chateau Montelena's 1973 Chardonnay.

"As we celebrate our win over 40 years ago, our family-owned and operated winery is more focused than ever on our Napa Valley Estate Cabernet," said Brian Baker, VP of Sales and Marketing for Chateau Montelena. "This varietal accounts for almost two-thirds of our winery's current annual production, furthering our founder Jim Barrett's original dream of producing a First Growth California Cabernet Sauvignon. We're delighted to share a rare library release of the 2006 Estate Cabernet for Ruth's Chris guests around the country on this special evening."

Ruth's TasteMaker Dinner series was inspired by Ruth's Chris Steak House founder, Ruth Fertel, who mortgaged her home more than 50 years ago to purchase her first restaurant. The single mother had no prior restaurant experience but was able to succeed because of her commitment to providing exceptional food and service to all of her guests. Each of the pairing partners for the TasteMaker dinners have stories that echo Fertel's own fearless spirit of entrepreneurship and dedication to quality.

Reservations for Ruth's TasteMaker Dinner with Chateau Montelena are now available at participating locations with additional dining experiences scheduled throughout the year featuring Mot Hennessy and Marchesi Antinori.
