Up and coming wine educator, sommelier and author LaSaan Georgeson thinks that the glass of red wine you sipped last night at dinner has a personality similar to someone you may know, as described in her new book If A Wine Were Me Which Would it Be?

The book, released today in the U.S. after a successful pre-launch in Italy, makes it easy for people to learn about wine by simplifying the complexities of different red, white and sparkling wines through personification. One of the animated descriptors from the book describes the personality of a medium body red wine that is deceptive in structure: "People find me a bit abrasive and often defiant because my POV is so vocal. I just like to be heard, but it can be confusing for some. I LOVE being vocal about [...]". This doesn't just describe a bold person that you know - it also describes a specific wine varietal!

With certified training in wine, spirits and beer from International Sommelier Guild, The Court of Master Sommeliers, and Wine, Spirits and Education Trust, Georgeson has introduced her entertaining style of educating wine novices and wine collectors alike through the personification of wine varietals.

If A Wine Were Me Which Would It Be? describes the characteristics and attributes of 28 wine varietals while revealing uncanny similarities to human beings throughout. In addition to correlating specific wines to certain human attributes, the book provides some wine education including wine history, winemaking, varietal expression, wine styles, and whimsical food pairings. The book provides such detailed aroma and palate descriptions, you can practically inhale and taste the wines right off the page.

If A Wine Were Me Which Would It Be? gives anyone who cares about wine a whole new way to look at and explore the topic, and helping ensure that every wine enthusiast experiences optimal indulgence when sipping their next glass of vino.

The book is available on Amazon.com, iTunes, and BarnesandNoble.com.
