On last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS on ABC, contestants were asked to recall the most memorable year of their lives.

Glee star Amber Riley chose 2009. During that year she auditioned for American Idol and was turned down, a moment she considers the lowest point of her career. However, a little later in the year, a friend told her about an audition for GLEE. She was cast in the series which went on to become one of the biggest shows on TV.

"I want to show that just before you hit rock bottom, you keep going and push through it," shared the actress who danced the FOX Trot with her partner Derek Hough. Check out the performance below!

Following the performance, Bruno exclaimed, "One thing's for sure - Lady Amber is here to stay - sensational - a performing powerhouse. This could be lifted from the best of Broadway shows."

Added Carrie Ann, "You have blown me away with your flexibility, the way you hit the routine, you guys are always in perfect sync."

"You are a star and you have a wonderful personality when you dance, you light the place up," said Len before critiquing, "but this is a FOX Trot, I have to see a certain amount in the hold."

The couple received a 26 out of 30 points including a 10 from Bruno. They will move on to the next round of competition.
