Sue Foley, Rory Block, Eileen Ivers, The Travelin' McCourys and More Added to The Spire Center Lineup
New concerts announced for the Plymouth venue include blues, folk, bluegrass, Celtic music, and holiday favorites.
The Spire Center for Performing Arts has announced five new additions to its 2026 concert lineup, bringing acclaimed artists from the worlds of blues, folk, bluegrass, and Celtic music to Plymouth.
Newly announced performances include Sue Foley with special guest Rory Block on August 26, Jon Pousette-Dart with Jim Chapdelaine on October 2, Eileen Ivers & Universal Roots on October 9, The Travelin' McCourys on October 18, and Christmas with the Celts on December 19.
The season kicks off with a special collaboration between blues artists Sue Foley and Rory Block. The concert, titled Guitar Women, will feature solo performances, collaborations, and stories drawn from their careers in roots music. The appearance coincides with the release of Foley's new book, Guitar Women, which celebrates influential female guitarists.
Folk-rock veteran Jon Pousette-Dart will perform as a duo with guitarist, producer, and four-time Emmy Award winner Jim Chapdelaine on October 2. Pousette-Dart first gained national recognition with the Pousette-Dart Band, which released five albums for Capitol Records during the 1970s and 1980s.
On October 9, Grammy-winning fiddler Eileen Ivers brings her ensemble Universal Roots to Plymouth. Known for her work with Riverdance and collaborations with artists ranging from Sting to The Chieftains, Ivers has spent more than four decades expanding the possibilities of traditional Celtic music.
Bluegrass group The Travelin McCourys will perform October 18. Led by Ronnie and Rob McCoury, the ensemble continues the legacy of the legendary Del McCoury Band while exploring new directions within contemporary acoustic music.
The season concludes with Christmas with the Celts on December 19. Now celebrating more than a decade of national touring, the production combines traditional Irish Christmas music, dance, and contemporary holiday favorites. The show originated as a PBS special that aired throughout the United States and Canada.
