International conductor Ramon Tebar will make his official debut as Principal Guest Conductor of Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia earlier than the previously announced 2015-2016 season. He replaces on short notice the venerable conductor Nicola Luisotti, who as Music Director of San Francisco Opera, has had to regretfully cancel his last two performances for artistic contingency reasons with the opera house.

While stepping in last minute to the production, Tebar is familiar with Nabucco, having recently conducted it with great success with Florida Grand Opera, of which he is Principal Conductor. In Valencia he will lead an international cast featuring Italian baritone Leo Nucci in the title role, Armenian mezzo soprano Varduhi Abrahamyan as Nabucco's daughter Fenena; Italian soprano Anna Pirozzi as Fenena's half sister Abigaille; Russian bass Sergei Artamonov as the high priest Zaccaria, and American tenor Brian Jadge as Ismaele, nephew of the king of Jerusalem.
