He is joined by pianist Victor Santiago Asuncion in performing each of the singular cello sonatas written by Debussy, Ginastera, and Shostakovich. The program also features an exhilarating, original solo work in its New York premiere and Arvo Pärt’s iconic Fratres, which Cañón-Valencia released as his debut single on Deutsche Grammophon.
