Hershey Symphony Orchestra Offering Season Subscription Savings

Join the Hershey Symphony Orchestra for a season filled with music for everyone. From favorite Disney tunes, to songs from the Wild West, holiday classics, romantic classics and a salute to America with the best of Gershwin - the Orchestra will take patrons on a musical journey over the next year. Season subscribers can purchase all six concerts for around $15 per concert.

Enjoy a magical afternoon or evening as the Hershey Symphony Orchestra presents "The Magical Music of Disney" on September 26 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Listen to favorites from The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean and more, all coordinated with video selections from these beloved movies.

Then, head to the "Wild West" on October 30 at 8 p.m. and usher in Halloween weekend with pieces including John Williams' "The Cowboys Overture," Aaron Copeland's "Suite from Billy the Kid" and movie music from "The Magnificent Seven," "Silverado," "Dance with Wolves" and more.

Make the Symphony a part of your holiday tradition with our "Holiday Spectacular" on December 5 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. This concert always sells out so the Symphony has added an extra performance to make sure everyone is in the holiday spirit. The concert includes seasonal favorites, an audience sing-a-long and a visit from a special man in a red suit.

On February 19, 2016, the Symphony will share share intimate classics at "Warm & Snuggly," which includes Mozart's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 17 in G Major featuring Gretchen Dekker on piano, Schumann's Symphony No. 1 and additional selections.

Internationally-renowned Mezzo-Soprano Gwendolyn Bowers returns to perform with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra on April 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. for "Symphonic Blockbusters." The concert will include selections from Carmen and Samson et Dalila, Dvorak's Symphony No. 7 and more.

Later that month, enjoy the best of George and Ira Gershwin's music with Gershwin's America on April 23, 2016 at 8 p.m. The concert will feature the Hershey Symphony Orchestra, Hershey Big Band and vocalists with the full orchestra performing Gershwin's masterpiece "Rhapsody in Blue" featuring Josh Tindall on piano.

The Symphony ends the season with its annual "Shall we Dance?" Benefit Gala, held at the Hershey Lodge, on Saturday, May 14. This black-tie optional event features dinner, an auction and dancing to the Orchestra and Big Band.
