'HAIR' Creator Galt MacDermont Celebrates 80th B-day with SI Event 12/18

Staten Island's Galt MacDermot, best known as the composer of the 1960s rock musical Hair, will celebrate his 80th birthday Thursday, December 18th, Veterans Memorial Hall , Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island.

A reception and concert in his honor will include MacDermot's classical, popular, and jazz works performed by the Staten Island Philharmonic and the "Hair" band. Assemblyman Matthew Titone is expected to be in attendance.

There is a Reception at 6:30 P.M. with a concert at 7:30 P.M.
COST: $20 Concert, $40 Reception and concert
