Veronica~Viqluna became a baseball player at a young age and was captain of the varsity softball team. She plays baseball, even as she reached adulthood. She writes "Waggles at Bat: Waggles' Adventures" (published by Xlibris on October 28, 2016) to inspire boys and girls to teach them the fundamentals of baseball in a fun, loving and caring way.

Set for a new marketing campaign, the book tells the story of Jake, a young boy and his favorite pet and best friend "Waggles." Jake entertains Waggles with his stories, especially about baseball and teaches his dog the basics of baseball in a fun telling way. But what will happen to Waggles? Will he learn to play baseball?

"Today's children can relate this story of having a pet and learning to care for, respect and be responsible. The sport of baseball has also become very popular. Almost every child, male or female has played or tried to play baseball once in their lifetime even if they don't become that one pro-player," the author says.

"Through this story, I would like to touch the readers mind and emotions. I would like to give them an insight and curiosity and impact for them to have courage to try something new. I want young readers to be fascinated with baseball and have some understanding right away, a few laughs and a small portion of life lesson. I want to leave something meaningful to connect with a pet animal or the love of the game in any sport they're willing to try and build personal confidence," the author concludes.
