NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ Innovating outside the box to expand sales to outlying areas, Nashville-based author Tom Templeman has opened up all book signing events for his first book,My Best Little Buddy, to online participation for anyone who cannot attend a book signing event in person.

"It is a win-win for all parties," says Templeman. "We give Nashville Cat Rescue 20% of the profits from all book sales, and increased sales means more money for the rescue to continue their work. Now, people who are out of the area, or simply cannot get to an event in person, can buy online at www.mybestlittlebuddy.com during the event, and I will sign their book and mail it to them first class." Also included this year are 72 hour online-only book signings. Buyers purchase at the book's website, www.mybestlittlebuddy.com, and the purchase form has a notes area where they can request a special dedication from the author.

Templeman is also now booking special events hosted by other rescues, in which the host rescue also receives a generous portion from each book sale at their event. "Expanding to special events with other groups benefits both organizations, and we are doing our first event of this nature on October 4th at Freedom Farms Animal Sanctuary's "Pet Celebration" at Moss-Wright Park," says Templeman. "Like the other events, it is open to online participation so again, everyone wins."

My Best Little Buddyis the heartwarming story of the 17-year relationship of love and friendship between the author and Tiger, a little grey tabby cat who was anything but ordinary. Here are a couple brief excerpts from 5-star reviews posted about the book:

"This superb and very well written book is in a class of its own! It is a story of love and trust and one that will truly inspire you. It has certainly inspired me." Daisy S., Hall of Fame top 10 Amazon reviewer

"Templeman writes from the heart, and his simple but powerful prose and the plentiful photos make the reader feel like he or she was right there with Tiger and his family. Perhaps that is the true magic of sharing such a seemingly ordinary story about a special cat: by sharing Tiger with the world, he becomes everyone's cat."Ingrid King, The Conscious Cat
