Savage Owl Press Announces Release of First Poetry Collection

Ullie Kowcun is a Canadian poet who began writing as a young girl, bringing her imaginations to life with her pen. As an adult, she learned of the profound power and influence words could have. She writes in a raw, vulnerable and empathetic style and seeks to build connections with her readers by offering hope through her relatable and thought-provoking pieces. A self-proclaimed word nerd and neologist, Ullie loves photography, experimenting in the kitchen and getting lost on hiking excursions.

In this debut book of poetry, Ullie writes as an empath, taking her readers on a journey through love and loss, hope and despair, and reflects both on her own experiences, as well as bleeding and mending for a world that seeks repair. In reading and feeling the rawness of her words, we come to a discovery - it is sometimes in the strangest of times and darkest of places that healing comes - that's the beautiful truth.
