Author S. David Freeman hopes to motivate readers to fight for what they believe is right in his new inspirational memoir. "The Green Cowboy" (published by AuthorHouse) is a tale of an energetic man who went through difficult times that shaped him into the man he is today.

Inspiring people to overcome early setbacks and live their dreams, this book reveals that when one speaks their mind, they can get bad people to do good things. It follows one remarkable young man in his aspiration to become successful, taking readers through subsequent highs and lows, twists and turns and failures and triumphs. Freeman teaches them the importance of hard work, perseverance and determination.

At a time when climate change and nuclear power rise to the forefront as two of the greatest threats to humanity, this book is an informative guide one seeks for enlightening discussions on energy policy. It encourages readers to join the march of progress in preserving the environment. The book gives them a fascinating glimpse into the history of energy policy in America over the last 50 years.

An excerpt from the book:
In my engineering experience, I did learn the value of details. If you spend months laying out the steel reinforcing bars in a power plant's thick, concrete floor slab, you do gain some respect for details. And being a loser for a few years taught me what it's like not to succeed, a lesson I did not always remember in dealing with people when I was on top in later years.
