Roulette Strategy book 'Roulette Rockstar' hits the Best-Seller's List

Can a roulette strategy help you win big at the casino? The readers of a hot kindle book called "Roulette Rockstar" seem to think so! The best-selling book about a secret roulette strategy is sending eager crowds to roulette tables across the U.S.

"Go to a casino this weekend and you'll probably notice a huge buzz around the roulette tables," says Stephanie Ramos, the Media Manager at Player Publications. "Blackjack and poker used to be the most popular games, but now roulette is hot!" Ramos believes the popularity of the book "Roulette Rockstar" has put the dying casino game back on the map. Roulette was long considered the worst bet in the casino, next to keno. However, the roulette strategy in the book "Roulette Rockstar" challenges that notion.

The Amazon Kindle book, published in January 2012, instantly became an underground hit. Readers downloaded the book in droves, hoping to cash in on the secret roulette strategy.It remained the #1 kindle best-seller for roulette over a year on Amazon's website. The company Player Publications owns the rights to the kindle book. They plan on releasing a paperback version later this fall for expanded distribution.

The book was published anonymously to protect the author. "Anyone with a system to beat the casinos may find themselves banned, if they don't keep a low profile," said Ramos. This happened to the late Ken Uston, the famous blackjack player who wrote the book "Million Dollar Blackjack." The book outlined his card counting strategy. Unfortunately, after the word got out about Uston, he couldn't get another game in town, without wearing an elaborate disguise. Ramos says the author of "Roulette Rockstar" would like to avoid the same fate.

Will everyone using the roulette strategy win? "We can't guarantee that, because all casino games involve an element of risk," answers Ramos. However, the roulette strategy does seem to lower house odds slightly in the player's favor. Casinos may take a hit at the roulette tables if the book goes viral, but Ramos isn't sympathetic. "For decades casinos have thrived on taking people's money, it's about time we got some of it back!"
