From author Peter Robinson comes "Treacherous Journey through the Philippines," a page-turner set against the backdrop of the Pearl of the Orient Seas. This book revolves around the circumstances of Larry Bulger's journey as he is beset by sinister acquaintances trying to use him as a beacon in rooting out hidden treasures. He is forced to maneuver around nefarious plots and amorous escapades that are intended to cause his undoing.

Fate has its way of letting seemingly simple things irrevocably alter the course of people's lives. This is what Larry Bulger discovers. At 30 years old, Larry is enjoying the rewards that his life and career in the engineering industry brought him. When he signs a contract to work overseas, he has no idea that the decision will propel him on an adventure that would inextricably change his life.

From the bustling urban maze work of Manila, the mesmerizing Chocolate Hills of Bohol, to the anxiety-ridden streets of Basilan, Larry's sojourn in the Philippines is riddled with intriguing personalities, discoveries and, unexpectedly, danger. As Larry becomes immersed in a land and culture as diverse and colorful as the people themselves, he finds himself in the middle of a tangle of ongoing political upheaval, two-faced acquaintances, and perilous circumstances.

In "Treacherous Journey through the Philippines," readers can follow this fallible hero in this riveting work of fiction as he sets out to experience adventure in what is to him is an exotic world. But the paradise-like archipelago holds secrets unknown and dangerous to many, especially to a foreign person like him. Soon, he finds himself caught up with people intent on using him for their own ends.
