New Memoir Shows How Following Ones' True Path Leads to True Love and...

Feeling the need to inspire others to reach a greater value of life, J. C. King confronts the memory of his toxic family and horrific childhood in his new memoir, “Bent . . . Not . . . Broken: A Story of Survival” (published by Archway Press). It illustrates how bad past experiences can propel a person to new levels of courage and to survive, a strong will is needed on life’s true path.

King tells a story of brutality, both mental and physical, following his life as a young boy, from his first memories to the present day. Throughout the narrative, the author focuses on various family members and his dog, describing how they showed him that love can survive through all aspects of life. King discusses how hate can consume a person and tells the reader love is essential for true happiness.

“The story shows you how, living in the moment and owning your self-awareness can change your life for the better,” King says. “I want readers to come away with a simple message, I Can Do This.”
