New Book 'Memories of the Heart' is Announced
Glen Allen, Va.
As she looks back, author Yvonne Woolfolk Britton chose to recall memories with gratitude to all those people who had shown her kindness and contributed to who she is today. "Memories of the Heart" (published by Xlibris) is a gift, a blessing of gratefulness embedded in her life story, she wants to pass on to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memoir that spans six generations, Britton's book tells of her family's bout with the Depression, the tears that were shed and the laughter that echoed in their house. A family's journey as much as her own, Britton's "Memories of the Heart" is a true testament how times can change and yet remain the same, and how one can survive regardless of hard times.
Sharing all there is to tell, Britton seeks to leave a good impression on the younger generation, showing them that everyone can make a change through his or her life in little ways - helping others and letting people see goodness through them - are just a couple of the ways.
