Audible Studios, the production arm of Audible.com, today announced the release of Michael C. Hall's audio interpretation of Truman Capote's iconic novella, Breakfast at Tiffany's. This new recording of Capote's classic work is the first audiobook performance by "Dexter" and "Six Feet Under" star Hall.

"Reacquainting myself with this landmark work of fiction was a pleasure and a privilege," said Hall. "Anyone only familiar with the film version of Breakfast at Tiffany's will be astonished by the subtlety and beauty of Capote's prose, and by the nuanced complexity of the story. For me, this is among the best scripts an actor could imagine."

"We are thrilled to be able to bring this brilliant new recording of Breakfast at Tiffany's to our growing audience of listeners," said Audible EVP and Publisher Beth Anderson. "In the same way that Audrey Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly in the movie brought Capote's work to millions of people, Hall's performance will deliver the power of Capote's words to a huge audience in a new format. His evocation of Capote's sparkling language will surprise and enthrall the film's legion of devotees as well as the many fans of Hall's television and film work."

Among the acclaimed actors who have performed works of literature for Audible Studios are Anne Hathaway, Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes, Colin Firth, Diane Keaton, Dustin Hoffman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Kate Winslet and Samuel L. Jackson. In 2013, Audible Studios secured 34 finalist nominations for the Audie Awards, which honor outstanding audiobooks and other spoken-word performances, and won Audiobook of the Year, for Firth's performance of Graham Greene's The End of the Affair. Also in 2013, Audible Studios received its first Grammy Award, for its production of Janis Ian's memoir Society's Child.

Audible, the world's largest seller of digital spoken-word content, invented and commercialized the first digital audio player in 1997, and has since been at the forefront of the explosively growing audiobook download segment. In 2013, Audible members downloaded an average of over 17 books over the course of a year. With Audible Studios, Audible.com has become the largest producer of audiobooks in the world.
