Marcus Harding Shares Reiki's Secrets in New Handbook
Author, Reiki Master and remedial massage therapist Marcus Harding first experienced Reiki in 2001, while battling bouts of depression. His first Reiki session was so powerful, he went on to complete his 1st degree Reiki training in 2003. In 2008, with his 1st and 2nd degree Reiki training complete, he became a Reiki Master.
Harding believes it is important that practitioners of Reiki understand the history before embarking on their journey to becoming a Reiki Master. Because of this, he includes a comprehensive summary of Reiki's mysterious history, beginning with Mikao Usui's discovery of Reiki in the late 1800s.
"Throughout my journey, I have crossed the paths of many Reiki practitioners, some of which study until their first degree and just stop, others continue all the way to the masters level, and never go on to teach," Harding says. It was my aim to simplify the process of teaching Reiki."
Harding hopes his comprehensive but understandable guide to Reiki will help both newcomers and veterans alike on their journey to mastery. By covering what Reiki is, where it comes from and what one can expect in a Reiki session, Harding believes his book can even appeal to those who aren't interested in practicing Reiki, but receiving it.
