CALGARY, Alberta

Set in the magical Kingdom of Bridd, the new fiction by author M.D. Millar titled "The Secret of Bridd" (published by AuthorHouse) spins an epic tale of a battle between good and evil.

The Kingdom of Bridd is about to be attacked by an emperor with plans to enslave all people in his path. It is up to King Lade-Gleal to stop Emperor Finup before it is too late. But the king must battle this evil force while protecting the Foursome, a powerful force for good.

"The book talks about what is most important for us these days: family and friends," Millar says. "It proves that good can win even when evil uses deceit and treason to get things its way. Friendship and loyalty are the true values for the people of this story and no matter how hard or difficult it is for them to make a sacrifice, they do it without thinking twice."

An excerpt from "The Secret of Bridd":

"The window started to shake gently and a golden liquid started to seep in. It glowed as it was running down the wall and the King touched it with his fingers. It felt warm to the touch and soft like silk. (...) His hands were now a glowing golden colour. He tried wiping them on his clothes, but the liquid had dried out and would not come off."
