Lila Rhodes Releases Fourth Book in Albin and the Jouster Series

LYNNWOOD, Wash., Aug. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ Author Lila Rhodes is proud to announce the latest installment in her easy-to-read series, titled Entering The Castle. The book is available for sale on Amazon as a Print-on-Demand book through CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform.

The idea for the series started when Lila found her self-proclaimed "Knight in Shining Armor" Lord Anthony Woodville. Her fascination with this particular historical figure has led to four published books with an additional 16 in the works.

The simple English used in the books was inspired by Rhodes experiences as a teacher. She spent time tutoring people with dyslexia and Korean students, and when she visited the library, she noticed that "the easy-to-read books focused on sports and rockstars. I thought, 'maybe that's not what everyone wants to read about.'" said Rhodes.

While Rhodes infatuation with Anthony Woodville began in 1983 "500 years, to the month, after his death" she notes, she didn't feel ready to commence writing until 2012. To prepare, she spent the spring of 2012 in England exploring the setting of her future work.

Rhodes books follow Woodville's career, but they are told through the eyes of a commoner. Albin is a very relatable figure, believes Rhodes, particularly to many suffering from disability. When she heard how many military veterans suffer from brain damage, Rhodes wanted to help. She donated the first volume of her book to several Veteran's hospitals.

The illustrator for the books, Brian Ladlee, is a veteran himself. Rhodes considers herself lucky to have found Ladlee online. "He's a wonderful artist, and he cares about getting things right," she compliments.

An interest in accuracy is a goal the author and illustrator share. She says her fifth book will take some time, because of the intrigue contained in that portion of the history. As an independent publisher, she has the luxury of taking the time she needs.

Rhodes is also a strong advocate of Print-on-Demand publishing, stating "I've always thought, 'let's not turn all those trees into books no one wants.'" Her independence is evident in her choice of everything from her subject matter to her motto "if you can't be the best, be unique."
