When a young woman goes to her therapist for advice on her many relationship issues, she confronts him about one of his own, leading to a power play between the two of them and leaving him with an ultimatum in the end.

Addiction written by author Leigh Morgan is a highly provocative short play that tells the story of Lope, a twenty-year-old female who visits into the office of an arrogant, but professional therapist to seek help for some of her problems in her relationships with men. She got screwed over in high school and she almost killed her ex-boyfriend. She would always let herself get involved and learn things about men. These men could tell her what was going on or sometimes she will just be another random hookup for them. Lope never minded being the one they didn't really want. She likes to control men and be like an escape route from whatever they were feeling.

However, Lope seems to be getting help from the wrong person. Her therapist is a woman-hating prick as well. This therapist screws around his wife. His marriage is on the rocks and even decided to have a quickie with a fifteen-year-old patient in one of their therapy sessions in his room. And now, where will his therapy session with Lope leads?

Addiction is one stimulating and intriguing book readers will surely enjoy. This short play delves on a strategic mind maneuverings between genders that focuses on their weaknesses, mistakes, as well as relationship and commitment issues, realizing that their dependency to commit the same mistakes is turning out to be an obsession they could not resist.
