Jenny Han Pens New Young Adult Novel TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE, Set for Spring 2014 Release

¾ Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, announced today plans to publish TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE, a new young adult novel by New York Times bestselling author Jenny Han. The agreement was negotiated by Justin Chanda, VP and Publisher of Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, and Emily Van Beek, SVP of Folio Jr. / Folio Literary Management. The book will be edited by Zareen Jaffery, Executive Editor of Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers and will go on-sale in April 2014.

"We are so thrilled to continue our relationship with Jenny Han," said Justin Chanda, "Fans of her Summer series will not be disappointed with this beautifully written ode to secret crushes and embarrassing revelations!"

"Ever since the Summer series ended, my readers have been asking me for more romance, and I have my fingers crossed that TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE will deliver," said Jenny Han. "It's a book I've been wanting to write for quite some time now, because it's semi-autobiographical-but I'll let the readers guess which parts are really true!"

TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.
