"Ultimately, I want my readers to revel in the fact that life is a process. It is ever changing and all of us are constantly evolving," the author states. "The search for who we are becoming begins and ends with our choice to submit ourselves in humility and appreciation for the gift of life and all the different emotion that it may bring. Although I am far from perfect, my heart will always hold the desire to love and heal those around me. If anything is to come from this collection of poems that the world will see, I pray it becomes a source of strength for those who read it the same way it was for me in my ten years of writing it."

"Water Lilies" is a compendium of poetry that represents a decade in time and comprises a multitude of themes from love to loss, passion to pain, suffering to healing and life as a whole. Written in a candid and telling tone, the book touches on relevant topics of today's society, especially for young women, in an inspiring light that shines relatability and realism. The author's writing style offers a truthfulness that the readers will pick up on immediately and find value in what they read. Coming from an author who is deep in faith, the book is brave and unafraid to praise God for the experiences that inspired the poems.

Woven into poetic verses and lines, "Water Lilies" is an exceptional exposition of the hurt in humanity, the beauty in boldness, the courage in charity, the raw in recovery, the healing of heart and the love to exist in the gift of a lifetime.
