How far will one man go to protect his family and all he holds dear? Will he go so far as to put the security of his country at risk to save his wife and children? Timothy Tyler is a brilliant university researcher who makes a scientific breakthrough that can help the world if it is properly used. However, his discovery can also have devastating effects if it falls into the wrong hands.

"Justifiable Means," an action-packed fictional novel written by author V.L. Jones, revolves around the story of Dr. Timothy Tyler, noted biotech scientist who has been credited by the university he works for in doing research on the control of scents in plants. He and his team are sent to Bogota, Colombia to collect specimen and study the unique qualities in some plant species found in its lush rain forests. However, things did not proceed as planned.

While crossing a bridge in the rainforest, Dr. Tyler is shot by Dr. Estrada Jorge with a tranquilizer and becomes unconscious. Back home, he is presumed dead. He later found himself being held captive by a gang of South American soldiers of fortune who have connections to the university he is working with. They want Dr. Tyler to use his research expertise to remove the marijuana scent from a culture of choice marijuana plant material being grown in petri dishes. From those petri dishes, the plant cells would be used to grow harvestable plants. Dr. Tyler has been asked to use his technology to give some plants the smell of fruits so that they can easily be shipped into US.

Dr. Tyler refuses to cooperate and participate in the scheme but William Whiting, a member of the Board of University Counselor makes threats against Timothy's family. He threatens to hurt Timothy's family if he refuses to go along with their demands. Dr. Tyler eventually finds himself plunged into the world of espionage, conspiracy, big money laundering and greed. Can the university professor survive a grueling ordeal in a hostile environment where he is pushed to his limits? Will he falter and stumble under the pressure or will Dr. Timothy Tyler endure and stop a plot that can have international consequences?

Filled with so many twists and turns, "Justifiable Means" is a powerful read that is sure to get readers glued from the very first page up to the last. With elements of action, adventure, danger and survival, this book has all the necessary ingredients to become a certified blockbuster hit.
