GoRead Picks Up Where Amazon Left Off Austin, Texas-based "social commerce" tech company GoRead.com has been called "The TOMS Shoes of the Book Business," and the book publisher could actually be the first successful combination of e-commerce and social media.

In a world where social media companies struggle to obtain profits, and e-commerce companies struggle to retain clients, GoRead offers the best of both worlds by engaging readers in a community and matching each book purchase on the platform with a gift of a book to a child. The model appears to have "cracked the nut."

During 3 years of development, the company still managed to post over $6.5 million in revenues.

GoRead now appears to be gaining momentum with approximately $125K in revenue in January; over $200K in revenue in February; and roughly $295K in revenue in March ... and there are no signs of this revenue slowing down.

GoRead is actually a SaaS platform for millions of self-published authors. Authors who pay $39.97 per month get access to an entire suite of marketing products that renders the need for websites, CRMs and shopping carts obsolete.

the company also pays authors to write and publish articles for its reader community. An average author has earned between $400 and $600 per month over the past year. Once the authors are engaged in the community, they have opportunities for discounted book writing, publishing and marketing programs.

Built on the latest technology stack combined with a robust team of 30 tech geeks and a full-service in-house media agency, the company is led by CEO and founder Ken Dunn.

Dunn is passionate about his personal mission to give every child the gift of reading with their "Buy a Book, Give a Book" model.

"We are excited about our recent growth, and we are thrilled to finally provide a platform with the right incentives to readers, authors and users with an ecosystem of publishing, authorship and philanthropy never before seen," says Dunn.
GoRead.com welcomes the opportunity to speak to interested parties from the book and publishing industry.
