Fiction Book Dwells on Author's Favorite Adventure Sport One of Martin Simons’ interest is the sport of gliding. Having noticed that there are very few novels about the sport, he thought to try to fill the gap by perfectly combining themes of romance and adventure in his published book “The Glass Ship” (published by Xlibris AU in February 2016).

His female partner abandoned Peter Markham because she considers him dull. He decides to embark on a redemptive journey to self-discovery following this painful episode. Seeking for adventures to spice up his life, he joins a gliding club. There he meets the half sisters Julia and Mitch. Julia teaches him to fly but he falls in love with Mitch. Tragedy intervenes, but happier prospects emerge. How will it end for him?

Fascinated by the sport since he was nine, Simons offers readers a glimpse into the world of gliding, where men and women are treated equally. He blends the thrill of gliding with the delights of love. “There is an adventure story alongside a love story,” he says. “Or maybe it is a gliding story with a love story interfering.”

“The Glass Ship” aims to satisfy readers’ thirst for exhilarating adventure and let them experience the death-defying journey of falling in love. For more details about the book, please visit https://www.amazon.com/Glass-Ship-Martin-Simons/dp/1514444496
