Author Celia-Joy Martins is no stranger to struggles and tribulations. Leaving their native South Africa, she and her husband with their sons moved to Australia. The trauma of immigration confronted with depression drive her to find solace from God where she found healing and answers to all her questions. It is her aim to disclose the truth she discovered and bring hope to those in similar circumstances. In "F i r e & A s h e s-I r o n & C l a y" (published by Xlibris AU), she reveals historically factual events relating to the horror of persecution and massacres, colonialism, murders, genocides, power struggles, wars, lies and deception.

This book touches on the terror swept through Paris and the rest of France after King Louis XIV revoked the Edict of Nantes proclaimed by his grandfather, King Henry the Great of France. In the name of Christianity, this bloody highway took thousands of lives and caused hundreds of thousands to flee their country of birth, finding refuge in America, other parts of Europe and also South Africa. They started anew in South Africa with the home and the freedom to serve their God they so longed for and found would become a nightmare again. With their blood, they pay for freedom twice and today, they are still dying, slaughtered by the criminal elements that rule in South Africa.

"Rejected by the world as racists, expelled as arrogant and uncompassionate towards other races, the South African European nation suffered tremendously as a result of often politically motivated and biased, unsubstantiated news that was propagated around the world," the author says.

Enlightening and thought-provoking, "F i r e & A s h e s-I r o n & C l a y" gives readers a valuable insight into historical events from the beginning of time, highlighting its consequences and presenting interesting facts regarding the ancestors of each nation on earth. A reference manual, a moral guide and a pathfinder to the Lord, this book gives the message of hope in a world of deception.
