Elina Juusola Discusses Romance Scams in Her Book, 'Love on the Line' Dating and romance scams often take place through online dating websites. Dynamic feminist, futurist and renaissance thinker and author Elina Juusola has once been a victim of this and she bravely shares her story to address the issues associated with this fast rising online phenomenon in her book, “Love on the Line” (published by Xlibris AU).

In this empowering book, Juusola combines personal narrative with critical analysis of the modern phenomena of online scamming with its roots in the world of pornography and the romance book industry. From a personal perspective bent on tackling analytical social change, this book equips readers with knowledge and skills/tools to help them avoid romance scams. For those who are already victims of a scam, the positive transformative method to recovery will speed up their healing and moving on process.

“I felt that although the story about being scammed online might be somewhat embarrassing for an informed person like me, it is important nevertheless to share it. People need to know what is happening in the digital world right now. Those who have been scammed want to know that there are constructive ways to handle the upset. And everybody must learn to know how to look for signs of scammers and scamming online.”

First and foremost a tool for awareness, “Love on the Line” connects the dots between pornography, romance books and scamming and finds a solution for recovery through social change in a healing narrative.
