Don Farilla grew up on the south side of Chicago, Englewood area where he went to Raster grammar school, Dyett Middle School, and Harper High School. He went on to become a licensed cosmetologist and own a chain of beauty salons on the south side of Chicago. He also became a notorious narcotics dealer from 1986 to 1992 when he was later named in a multiple-count federal indictment. That led to a 13 year, 2 month stretch in federal prison. He now lives in downtown Chicago with a pleasant view of the lake.
