WARREN, Ohio - "My father was a policeman," said author Dolores Durst. "The many stories he could tell amazed me and they stuck with me all my life."

Loosely based from Durst's childhood hometown, Niles, Ohio, "Badge 11" (published by Xlibris) presents a crime mystery inspired by her father's varied experiences as a cop. Set in a small, peaceful town where no one locks their doors at night, everything gets turned upside down when, all of a sudden, all the local businesses begin getting broken into, and the safes are all emptied out. As their crime spree comes to a head, are the perpetrators biting off more than they were ready to chew? It takes a surprising twist to begin to unravel a whirlwind of an operation.

This fictional rendition of her father's life of crime-fighting, and of Durst's own experiences as a policeman's daughter, presents not only the exciting pace of a crime novel, but is also a feel good story written directly from the heart.

"Badge 11" is a book about coming to the aid of anyone who needed help. In reading her story, Durst wants people to realize that even today, there are still good people helping others in need.
