Delores D. Fedrick, a non-profit administrator, has completed her first book "The Complete Guide to Developing Nutritional Skills": an eye-opening and potent guide to self-improvement of health and wellness.

When asked about her inspiration for the book, Fedrick said, "As a graduate of the University of South Carolina's College of Pharmacy, I am more than familiar with the general population's dependence upon medication and doctors to maintain their health and wellness. Yet, even the American Medical Association reports that 50% of health and wellness is related to proper nutrition, (adequate physical activity, not smoking, and minimal alcohol consumption.) However, regardless of our stations in life, proper nutrition is a skill that we seldom learn but all so desperately need! So, as a non-practicing pharmacist, I call my efforts 'proactive pharmacy' rather than reactive pharmacy! My desire is to supply the missing catalyst to raise public awareness of the diet-health relationship and the need for changed behavior. Everyone needs the nutritional skillset to maintain themselves for life and not just for a few months or until reaching an ideal weight."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Fedrick's book will provide readers with simple steps to improve their overall health. This easy-to-understand guide will show readers how to determine their body's daily nutrient needs and understand nutrition facts labels in a whole new light. Through familiarizing one's self with these generic, universal, and translatable principles, readers will be equipped to make better choices in their diet and thereby lead healthier and happier lives.

Readers who wish to experience this work can purchase "The Complete Guide to Developing Nutritional Skills" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
