Pit bosses wondered how Elizabeth Von Doleger took chips offof the gaming tables without the "eye in the sky" seeing her. The hotel cashiers reported to security thatElizabeth Von Doleger was always cashing in casino chips for money- lots of money.

Elizabeth was gorgeous and elegant. She had just turned 22, had red hair, which was cut short to frame her face, and shimmered like burnished copper in soft lighting. Her skin was flawless, with slightly slanted eyes, and her cheekbones were high. The eyes and cheekbones she had inherited from her great grandfather, a Frenchman from Alsace-Lorraine.

She had a magnetism that men loved and admired. Elizabeth's face was tanned from the hot desert sun, and her figure was almost perfect, except her bust was small with only a slight cleavage.

Caesars Palace had more opulence than any other Strip resort when it opened in 1967. It had fountains, statues from the Roman era, high rollers, and the most beautiful showgirls in Las Vegas. Caesars Palace was owned by the who's who of the underworld. Gamblers were brought out by the hotels every Wednesday and Sunday on gambling junkets, mostly without their wives or girlfriends. They were given comps in the gourmet restaurants, tickets to the best shows, andinvited to play at beautiful golf courses.

One such restaurant at Caesars Palace was the Bacchanal room. While invited guests were eating, beautiful women dressed in white gossamer togas would come around, and massage your shoulders- this was for the guys only. The drunker they got after dinner, the more they spent at the gambling tables.

Women looked to meet these gamblers in the hotel casinos. They would try to get them to the gambling tables over dinner or having a drink. Gamblers usually staked them if they were generous. Women would pocket what chips they could without the "eye in the sky" seeing them or whoever they were gambling with. They were known as chip hustlers.

Casinosfrowned on chip hustlers. It was money out of their pockets. Chip hustlers in their eyes were worse than hookers. At least hookers were paid for their services, and didn't take winnings off of the tables, they thought.

And yet ... this is a work of fiction.
