Author Riva L. Green has worked with victims of domestic abuse, both males and females. This experience allows her to realize many ways of how those involved think about their abuse on many angles. She shares these findings with readers in "The Three R's of Domestic Violence" (published by Xlibris).

This book explains the thoughts of victims and abusers in domestic violence. Not many realize that there are some decisions they cannot make for the abuse. It is important for them to realize the pain and the strength they have to obtain in order to make their own decisions. The author believes that domestic violence and abuse are problems that affect almost every family, and must therefore, be addressed. She motivates readers to practice the three R's of domestic violence - respect, reeducate and repair.

Her book gives ample insights on what abusers think and the fears the victims have. She also encourages the abused to find their own strength to make the right choices. "When their time is up and they are tired of putting up with the abuse, it's then, and only then will they make a decision, but the decision would have to be their own," Green says.

An excerpt from the book:
To all residents of Domestic Violence,
I am spreading the word around.
We are asking for the phone calls,
to help, so that you can be found.
