Easter is a time to celebrate new life, the gift of forgiveness and time for families to gather engaging in fun filled holiday traditions. In News from Wandaland, a collection of short stories written by Author KoDell Parker, Parker includes "Easter Egg Hunt," a short story which reflects on the Easter holiday, its traditions, and places an emphasis on the importance of being together with family.

The story begins one Easter Sunday from long ago, with the gathering of dozens of hen eggs to place in the pasture for the traditional Easter egg hunt. Parker takes readers back to a fond memory from his past, painting a bright picture of a traditional Parker Family Easter, and the events that took place from the morning egg gathering, to the afternoon group egg hunt and the family Easter dinner.

"As youngsters we were educated on the religious aspects of Easter, but still looked forward to the egg hunts, Sunday Easter dinner always came in a close second as the true way to a young man's heart is through his stomach. Just simply spending a day together was enough to make our little hearts content" - KoDell Parker, Author

The short stories, folklore and entertaining adventures contained within News from Wandaland are reflections on Parker's earlier years and rural life in East Texas, alongside his opinions on modern topics. "Easter Egg Hunts" is just one of many stories told in the book.

The intention of the book is for others to enjoy the collection of short stories and witty opinions, and it is with much gratitude for readers to allow KoDell Parker the opportunity to share this through News from Wandaland.
