In her 2005 book, "Walking with Jesus" (published by Trafford Publishing), which is receiving a revived marketing push, Helen Kidd Thayne opens up about her faith, revealing how she found strength, peace and even joy in the difficult circumstances of life.

With "Walking with Jesus," Thayne offers her personal testimony. She sees herself as an ordinary woman, and she hopes her account of her spiritual development inspires others. She discusses how, as she says, God works through Jesus Christ in her everyday life, an idea which inspires her to persevere through the bad times and enjoy the good times.

An excerpt from "Walking with Jesus":

"The real supernatural world is the one which is the creation and dwelling place of our supernatural creator God, and is full of his compassion, love, beauty, tenderness, light and peace, and the way there is to believe in, and love honour and obey our Lord Jesus Christ, who shows us, and leads us on the pathway there. Dear reader, if by any chance anybody does read this testimony of a very ordinary woman, who believes in the extraordinary supernatural creator, God, I pray that you keep on searching for more and more experiences of Him, because if you keep searching you will surely find him."

"Walking with Jesus" came very naturally to Thayne. "I was inspired by finding the deep closeness of God during times of emotional and physical pain that enabled me to recognize his presence with me," she says. "Circumstances changed for the better and his timing was so perfect, making the right things happen without effort on my part, apart from prayer!"
