How would you react if you learned that you were a superhero?

"I Am Angelo" by Ekaterina Yuvasheva follows the story of AdrIan Alexander Prince, who goes from being an average Montana teenager to a member of the Talented. The Talented are a special group of people who possess the power to change the world, known as the Talent.

After being invited to attend a special school for the Talented, Prince learns the truth about his family, discovers a mysterious second family and his own unusual fate. Through all of his trials, Prince relies on the company and companionship of his diverse band of friends and survives the impossible.

Yuvasheva pulls from her own experiences as an immigrant to the United States to add a depth and meaning to her characters, as well as the situations that they encounter.

"The feelings of separation, excitement in a new place and learning to fit in better among new people really shaped the story," Yuvasheva said. "The exposure to two very different cultures of America and Russia gave the ability to look at the events in my story from multiple angles."
