Dr. C.E. McLain, in his newly published book Unknown Paths: A Guide To College Student Safety, informs parents and prospective college students about the 10 big crimes and other potentially dangerous and hazardous experiences college students may face during their academic tenure. This book also intends to help currently enrolled students in completing their coursework and enjoying college life without becoming victims of crime.

"The reality is most, if not all, high school seniors have no idea what their unfortunate and unplanned college experiences could be," McLain shares. "There are more joy-filled days at college awaiting them, but one tragic experience could impact them and change their lives forever."

Resulting after hundreds of interviews, articles, books and meetings, this college manual for student safety is designed to help incoming students who are new to college life, and students already enrolled, prepare mentally and physically for a period of study as safely and productively as possible. It walks readers through the ten most common crimes on college campuses and offers tips on how to avoid falling victim to them. The author also includes brief accounts of actual experiences of students.

A key to ensuring individual safety, Unknown Paths: A Guide To College Student Safety is a valuable handbook for college students and future students in being as safe as possible during and after college life.
