Author Ajay Lazarus Simon invites readers of all ages to look at footwear in a new light, telling a story designed to promote basic morals and values in his whimsical new book, "Shoe Springs: Soles in Motion" (published by Partridge India).

"We all wear footwear to protect our feet and soles but we invariably take what we have for granted and end up being disrespectful and ungrateful for what we have," Simon writes.

The omnipresent Master Shoe Maker made all the footwear buddies, and since they were dear to him, he put them carefully away in a special shoe cupboard to live in a spectacular world named Shoe Springs.

Simon's story takes readers to the magical world of Shoe Springs, where the footwear buddies share their fun times and adventures. Their tales focus on themes of respect, trust, teamwork, friendship, appreciation for self and others and creative, imaginative thinking.

"A sound foundation of basic morals and human values is built at home and should be done in a fun and interesting way, a way that young minds can easily relate to and adopt," says Simon. "My book addresses just and brings out basis human values via characters that both young and old minds can relate to in their everyday life."
