To celebrate the book’s success, Advisors’ Academy Press has scheduled a special book signing event that will take place on Saturday, September 22, from 3-5 PM at the Barnes & Noble in Midland, Texas, where Dee Carter, the author resides. Dee Carter will be on hand to sign copies and talk about his groundbreaking book. Using captivating stories, Dee shares valuable insights that can help readers avoid ending up woefully unprepared for retirement.

Chock-full of wisdom and time-tested financial tips, the book helps readers answer the all-important question, “Do I have enough to retire?”

Dee wrote his new book with two groups in mind that need guidance in financial and retirement planning—prospective retirees and financial advisors. Explaining that there’s much more to financial and retirement planning than numbers on a sheet of paper, the book questions why advisors are still being trained the same way Dee was back in 1976. The world has changed so much since then, and the industry needs to adapt.

“We were taught that a retiree could only draw a small percentage from their principal each year in order to keep that principal from disappearing over time. Now, we know how clients can guard their principal and still receive a very nice retirement by investing for income rather than growth,” says Dee Carter.

Dee Carter is the founder and President of the Carter Financial Group in Midland, Texas and is also an Investment Advisor Representative with Sound Income Strategies, LLC, based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is also a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Texas.
