The PERSISTENCE OF NUDITY: A Burlesque Tribute to Salvador Dali Hits Coney Island

114 years ago the mad, megalomaniac genius Salvador Dali burst forth from his mother's viscera to become the one and only True Surrealist to ever live and the Saviour of painting. Clara Coquette and Gemini Blitz present Dali's visceral dream images on a gleaming, argent platter for you to devour. Join us on a succulent, scintillating journey where we invert the trauma of birth and open the secret drawers of the body.

"Take me, I am the drug. Take me, I am hallucinogenic." Deciphering and devouring the bizarre, twisted images of Dali's work is addictive. The more you imbibe the more you desire and the desire becomes a need to bring his nightmare images and mystical scenes to life.

The Persistence of Nudity: A Burlesque Tribute to Dali takes place Saturday, July 7th, 10pm at Sideshows by the Seashore, Coney Island USA, in its fourth year as part of the Burlesque at the Beach Series. Producers Clara Coquette and Gemini Blitz perform alongside such magnificent talents as Dirty Martini, Doll Body, Maggie McMuffin, Mary Cyn and Johnny Caligula, Sarah Tonin, Faux Pas le Fae, and Galatea Stone. Become a surveyor of the world of dreams, madness, and absolute genius. For Dali, by Dali, inspired by Dali.
