The M's second psychic night was a rousing success. With lines out the door for tarot card readings, it was a good thing that Mary Elizabeth Micari invited guest reader Giovanni Conti to join her at the tables. People came from as near as down the block and as far as Long Island to learn what was in the cards for them from experienced readers, Mary and Giovanni. "We were excited to come, so we made a night of it, we went to one of the restaurants here and then after, we went for drinks ... I miss Brooklyn!" exclaimed Gina Ocello.

Saturday, May 31 & Sunday, June 1 - The M's acclaimed playwriting class had two of its final projects performed in John Chatterton's Short Play Lab at Roy Arias' Studios in the Times Square Arts Center in Manhattan: "Curtain Rods" a play about Lee Harvey Oswald's few minutes before making history, written by Brooklyn native Ted Montuori and featuring Brooklyn resident Joseph Conway, from The M's acting program, and guest artist John Stagnari; and "Grande Grande Blah Blah Blah" a surreal work about growing old in a world meant for the young was written by professional playwright - and Brooklyn native - Robert Liebowitz. Mr. Liebowitz teaches the playwriting course. The play featured Adele Rose Wendt, a voice and acting student at The M, and Jay Michaels, executive director of Genesis Repertory, the classical theatre company that sponsors The M. This is the second time Ms. Wendt profited from her association with The M. She performed in the Madwoman of Chaillot with Briana Carlson-Goodman, currently Éponine in Les Miserables on Broadway.

Sunday, June 1 - Belly-dancer Amanda Kali shimmied up and down Fifth Avenue promoting her belly dancing course at The M Center and Ms. Micari was on-hand promoting her line of magical and homeopathic health products.

Monday, June 2 - Professional musician, CRiCKeT, joined the M Center officially as a guest lecturer for the special Monday night arts lecture series the M sponsors. Cricket is a 30-year veteran of the music industry and now a Brooklyn resident giving back to the neighborhoods he loves. He has taught at numerous music schools in park Slope and at South Shore high School, and now he's settled in to the M Center in Bay Ridge. He - and The M's guitar teacher, Andrew Liebowitz, jammed and taught the students the finer points of old and modern rock as well as the blues. CRiCKeT will be hosting a special ROCK CAMP this summer at the M which will culminate in a concert in Manhattan with the students.
