On February 24th, 26th, and 27th, at 7 PM, a group of local Brooklyn artists will present a benefit performance of Eve Ensler's award winning play THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, at The Pow Wow on Bedford Avenue.

Last year over 5,800 V-Day benefits were held around the world raising over $5 million and awareness towards ending violence against women. V-Day Bedstuy, Brooklyn is a local effort within the worldwide context of the 2016 V-Day Campaign, ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE, a call for women survivors of violence and those who love them to gather safely in places where they are entitled to justice and release their stories.

THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women's experiences. Playwright Eve Ensler has performed the play to great acclaim throughout the world - from Zagreb to Santa Barbara, from London to Seattle, from Jerusalem to Oklahoma City.

THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES will be performed at the PowWow, 1058 Bedford Avenue, on February 24, 26, and 27th, at 7 PM. Tickets range from $10-30 and may be purchased here. All funds will benefit The Art Therapy Nest, a local Bedstuy organization that provides a compassionate space for healing and creativity, offering individual and group psychotherapy. With funds raised, founder Jennifer Lepke will establish a program that specifically supports domestic and sexual violence survivors in their journey to living healthy and empowered lives.
