If you love getting down to classic Soul, Motown and Disco artists like the Jackson 5, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and more, don't miss the opportunity to see their greatest works performed live by the Queensland Performing Art Centre (QPAC) Choir on 17 May 2016.

Following the popular 2015 QPAC Choir showcase concert 30 Years of Musicals, the 120-voice QPAC Choir, under choirmaster Timothy Sherlock, will join with guest artists including special guest star American Soul singer Lisa Hunt to perform A Soul Celebration; an uplifting evening featuring some of the greatest Soul, Motown and Disco songs ever written.

Choirmaster Timothy Sherlock said QPAC Choir's annual showcase concert is one of the highlights in the choir's performance calendar.

"These concerts are an opportunity for members to collaborate with other local guest choirs and artists, increase their live performance experience, and showcase the results of many months of rehearsals.

"A Soul Celebration will take audiences back in time to enjoy classics by some of the most popular Soul and Motown artists that people of all ages will know. I am sure there will be lots of toes tapping and heads nodding along to favourites like We Are Family, Respect, Heard it Through the Grapevine, Staying Alive and the many more great songs featured in our concert program," said Mr Sherlock.

If you're a fan of the old classics of Soul, Motown and Disco music, don't miss out on the opportunity to hear your favourite songs performed live by the QPAC Choir. To book go to qpac.com.au or phone 136- 246.
