Single Tickets for Huntington's 35th Anniversary Season Go On Sale Tuesday, August 2nd.
Single tickets to the Huntington Theatre Company's 2016-2017 season will go on sale to the general public at midnight on Tuesday, August 2.
Single tickets to Sunday in the Park with George are on sale now. The upcoming season features Stephen Sondheim's sublime masterpiece, three hot new plays, an explosive Pulitzer Prize winner, a wickedly funny romp, and an iconic classic drama, with performances by award-winning Boston favorites and national theatre artists.
Tickets (starting at $25; discounts available to subscribers, members of the military, WBUR members, WGBH members, and the BU community, and those aged 35 and under) will be available online at huntingtontheatre.org beginning at 12am, by phone at 617 266 0800 beginning at 12pm, and in person at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre (264 Huntington Ave.) Box Office beginning at 12pm.
Continuing its 34-season tradition, the Huntington will present world-class productions of new works and classics made current created by the best local and national talent in 2016-2017. The assortment of productions includes Stephen Sondheim's Pulitzer Prize winning musical directed by Peter DuBois (A Little Night Music), a wild and searing comedy about race and the immigrant experience by Mike Lew, a wickedly funny romp by Alan Ayckbourn and directed by Huntington favorite Maria Aitken, an iconic classic drama by Henrik Ibsen and adapted by Bryony Lavery, an explosive Pulitzer Prize winner by Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Tony Award winner Billy Porter (The Colored Museum), a provocative and moving drama by Disgraced playwright Ayad Akhtar, and an uproarious comedy by Boston native David Lindsay-Abaire (Good People).
