FPAC Presents 'TIS THE SEASON This Weekend

Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) presents 'Tis the Season!, an upbeat, jazzy extravaganza featuring members of the Kenny Hadley Big Band, with contemporary arrangements of favorite holiday classics in musical styles ranging from swing, R&B and gospel to rock, pop and Broadway.

First staged by FPAC in 1995, 'Tis the Season! returns to entertain audiences with great merriment, fanfare and fun. Musical arrangements include Andy Williams' "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and "Happy Holiday," Quincy Jones' sensational version of the "Hallelujah Chorus," songs from several popular television holiday specials, and many surprises. Performances are Saturday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 21 at 2 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street, in Franklin.

The show spotlights over 100 singers and dancers. Featured cast members include Lily Barney, Mia Fleischer, Ali Funkhouser, Galen Hancock, Graham Hancock, Alexa Katsaros, Sydney Leach, Tatiana McAlpine, Grace Olah, Nick Paone, Bella Pelaggi, Deanna Rivera, Emma Sbordon, Grace Tucceri, Angellina Willey, Katie Wylie and Melissa Wyner of Franklin; Caroline Merten of Hopedale; Alison Mandell, Alex Vancura and Colie Vancura of Medfield; Alan Mercer and Maddy Williams of Medway; Katie Gray of Milford; Kylee Rollins of North Attleboro; Laine DiMartinis of Walpole; Ella LaFrenier of Whitinsville; and Jenna McDermott of Wrentham.

'Tis the Season! is staged and directed by Raye Lynn Mercer, with music direction by Hallie Wetzell. Choreographers are Mercer, Casey Andrade, Clyde Nantais and Kellie Stamp. Musical arrangers are Mark Poniatowski, John Allmark, Jeff Perry and Walter Platt. Waters Corporation, Big Y and Northern Trust are 2014 FPAC Holiday Performance Sponsors.
