Benjamin Button cast

it also appears they're keeping it in Cornwall. that's such a *specific* location -- even for those inside the UK. it'll be interesting to see how that works out ...

Curious about the character names listed. I don’t recall anywhere in the West End program or website where Benjamin was listed as “Reverthi/Benjamin Button”. I’m sure there’s some tie to the local lore of the setting as well, but I have to assume the book updates they’ve been doing are the reason? Maybe this is just an oversight on my part.

Andrew Durand’s a great choice for Benjamin. He’s so inherently likable, and a perfect fit for the score. Wasn’t a huge fan of it in the West End, but I also really didn’t like the cast, so I’d pay a revisit to see the difference.

No, that is not new. All the tracks always had what they called "stranger" (i.e. narrator) names and those have been retained here. They did shuffle a few (the two on-stage swing narrator names have been moved to different tracks since there's no more on-stage swings), but I wouldn't take the names as an indication of any rewrites. In fact, they would kind of hint to me the opposite, that they're retaining most of the material as is.

I'm not familiar with the production (and am going to try and stay that way / go in cold more this season) - but I'm quite enjoying the recent "Durand-aissance" if you will :-) So incredibly talented, and his most recent slate of roles show off a remarkable versatility. Hope this is another great success for him + the rest of cast!

If Durand is doing this, then I wonder who will replace him in Rocky Horror?

I have a ticket for November for this, but have held off on RH.

Thrilled to see Kelsee Kimmel and Brittany Coleman alongside Durand, both unbelievably talented! I gave the West End cast a listen yesterday and I can’t wait!

Did tickets for non-subscribers go on sale today? Got an email today and it's a long wait in the waiting room for the queue.

No. They've been on sale for some time. The email and press today pushed people to the website who were unaware it was on sale probably. Every date is 75 percent sold.

The date I'm going was already 100% sold out when I looked last week to see if any extra seats were available.

You weren't kidding - I had not looked in a few days. It's selling fast - this will sell out at the Public before it begins at this rate.
