Spotlighters Theatre to Present TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA, 8/3- 4
Middle School students of the Young Actors Academy have spent 5 weeks in an Intensive Theatre education program, learning Acting Methods & Techniques, Theatre History and Styles, Improv & Comedic Acting, Theatre Movement, Stage Combat, Make-Up Design, and more; all taught by local, regional and National Theatre professionals.
The Middle School students worked with primary instructors to redact and develop the Shakespeare script to create a one hour and 30 minute production of Two Gentlemen of Verona. The students chose to set this story of love and friendship and comedy in the American Wild West.
Join Spotlighters Theatre on Friday and Saturday, August 3 & 4 at 8pm for this wonderful production filled with energy and excitment - that only Middle School students can create!
Tickets are just $10 and are available online and at the door. All proceeds benefit The Young Actors Academy. Technical support provided by Devin McKay - Stage Manager/Lighting Design, Maggie Riley - Booth Technician, and Jay Gilman - Academy Director.
