The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will hold a Holiday Open House at 38 Main Street on Thursday, December 2 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., participating in the 2nd annuAl Franklin Downtown Holiday Stroll. The community is invited to meet the faculty, tour the School, view classes in session and learn about the school's programs in Music, Dance and Drama.
Providing entertainment for the Holiday Stroll, FSPA's musical theater troupes will perform previews of FSPA's Holiday Showcase in the FSPA recitAl Hall during the Open House. The School's musical theater and dance ensembles are cast by audition each season for performances in the community, at Walt Disney World, and touring abroad. The School's annual Holiday Showcase will be presented Friday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer auditorium.
FSPA's Music Department offers a comprehensive voice curriculum, instrumental lessons and the specialized Little Music School for ages 18 months and up. Dance disciplines include Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Hip Hop, as well as classes for Teen Beginners, Boys and Adults. The school's Drama Department provides curriculum in Acting and Musical Theater.
Serving more than 45 Massachusetts communities in the I495-Metro West region, FSPA's classes are designed for all ages and levels of ability. Beginners are welcome, and registration is ongoing throughout the school year.
