Dundalk Community Theatre opens its 2018 season with the Baltimore Area Premiere of the musical "The Bridges of Madison County" from October 27th - November 5th.

This critically acclaimed musical features one of Broadway's most accomplished creative teams: three-time Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown ("Parade," "The Last Five Years"), and book by Pulitzer Prize winning writer Marsha Norman ("The Secret Garden," "The Color Purple," "night, Mother"). It is an unforgettable story of two people caught between decision and desire, as a chance encounter becomes a second chance at so much more.

Individual tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for senior adults and $15 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under.

The Bridges of Madison County, based on the best-selling novel by Robert James Waller, tells the story of Iowa housewife Francesca Johnson and her life-changing four-day whirlwind romance with traveling photographer Robert Kincaid. Francesca has been married for 18 years with two teenage children. When the family leaves her home for some "alone-time" to go to the 1965 State Fair, an unexpected chance-encounter changes her life. Ruggedly handsome, National Geographic photographer Robert Kincaid pulls into her driveway seeking directions to bridges he is to photograph for the magazine. An instant passion between the two lonely folk leads Francesca to believe she may have met her soulmate. The eternal question of "What if...?" leads them to discuss the roads they have traveled, the doors that have opened and the bridges yet to cross,

The Cast: Nancy Asendorf (Francesca), Tom Burns (Robert Kincaid), Tiffany Walker Porta Burrows (Marge), Jeff Burch (Bud), William Bryant (Michael), Ariel Edler (Marian/Ensemble), Ken Ewing (Charlie), Emily Signor (Carolyn), with ensemble members Lillian Blank, Eva Grove, Albert J.
